One morning, in Paris, a man on a bike stands with a big empty shoulder bag, heading to, seemingly, his routine Saturday shopping tour. The bag is empty, folded around the man’s body like another item of clothe, like a jacket, drawing perfectly the silhouette of the man’s body. The LAR BAGS are conceived to use (or to wear) even when containing basically nothing. These bags are a perfect fit for carrying comfortably a whole day of working tools and material while leaving the option, for example, for a spontaneous grocery shopping at the end of the day, or to be used as a travel bag for a few days trip. This is a big bag that becomes completely flat when is empty, an extension of the urban craft(wo)man whose routine requires daily walking or biking great distances.

The LAR BAGS are an everyday, lifelong, beautiful working tool that allows one to use it on a daily basis, without foreseeing a possible working material shopping or any other extraordinary event.

One of the focal points of this project is to be able to work in direct collaboration, on the manufacturing phases, with artisans from the Dominican Republic as a way of bringing to a global scope the quality of their craftwork.
