Pavilions for landowners, operators and developers.

DEA, Ma., Arch. Yuri Leonardo · Systems & Concepts Architect

One module, two sites: a forest and a beach.

AI visualisation, 2026 · based on my thesis, A Proposal to Inhabit (2003)

In the forest

Among the trees, without clearing the forest or pouring it in concrete: a factory-built module on slender posts that stay outside and carry only its base.

On the beach

On the beach, with no public water or sewer: the same module resting directly on the ground, perpendicular to the sea, anchored after the soil survey, and the public coastal strip stays free.

What is designed

Structure · water · energy · interiors and joinery · operating plan · site follow-up.

Where the module comes from

Study model of the pavilion: a long, low volume with rounded ends.
Thesis collage, long elevation: the pavilion raised among trees. Thesis collage, cross section: the pavilion resting on dry ground, a woman in white beside it.

The module comes from A Proposal to Inhabit, my thesis (UNPHU, 2003, awarded at the Santo Domingo International Architecture Biennial, 2006).

The tool

Designed with Space Designer, my own program, in use on real commissions: one core; a kitchen, a closet, a bathroom or a pavilion is a configuration.

How we start
